So, I've been working as a temp receptionist since the end of September, and just last week they offered me a job in another department in the company, which is great, as this position was coming to an end (the actual receptionist is coming back from maternity leave). It was supposed to start on the 24th, but now - suddenly - I'm starting tomorrow. I don't know that I can be looking forward to more interesting work, but from what I hear I will certainly be busy, which is part of why they're asking me to start earlier than expected. So, this is my small lament for a job completed. I'm not particularly sad to leave or anything, since I'm not really leaving, just relocating, but I do always find a twinge of oddment at the idea that I filled a position and then I no longer really exist in that way anymore.
On another, far less existential note, my Collector's Edition copy of the new World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King is sitting on my computer chair at home and I am nearly crawling out of my skin waiting to get to it.
And dammit, I really want to make thrummed mitts. Go away, project-obsession, go away! >_<
